We support .xlsx (Excel 2007+), .xls (legacy), .xlsm (macro-enabled), and .xlsb (binary). The SheetJS library handles parsing. Password-protected files cannot be opened.
Can it detect circular references?▼
Full circular-reference detection requires a live formula engine (Excel itself). We perform static code analysis — scanning formula text — which catches patterns but not runtime cycles. Use Excel's built-in Formulas → Error Checking → Circular References for definitive detection.
How big a file can I audit?▼
Processing happens in your browser, so limits depend on your device memory. Files up to 50 MB and 100,000 rows work well. For very large workbooks, close other browser tabs first.
